Answers:
Skip the topical and get your oral meds ASAP! Soap and water to cleanse the area is appropriate, again, depending on the location!. Often times, MRSA can be aggressive and cause wounds that tunnel and require an incision and drainage, followed by would packing when appropriate!. Warm compresses can help the wound come to a head (think the white part of a zit) so a trained healthcare professional can then open it up and help decrease the amount of pus in the area!. Otherwise, the infection can progress to an abscess!. Additionally, make sure that you are using good hand washing practices, and ensure your family/friends are also using good practice as this can be spread by direct contact!.
