Why is from the bottom of my wrist halfway down my arm numb 24/7?!

Question:

Why is from the bottom of my wrist halfway down my arm numb 24/7?

Its not from the cold. Could using a weed wacker for 8 hours per day 5 days per week cause this? I cant really feel my arm at all in that spot. Is it serious? Will it go away? It has persisted for 3 days so far.

Answers:

Sounds alot like carpal tunnel syndrome. If so you'll need rest, physical therapy, ice pack & ibuprofen. The most common way to get it is from the way your wrist rests on the keyboard or mouse. But there are lots of other ways.

I got it from playing video games until I taught myself how to play by using my upper arms for the strain instead of my wrist. Your wrist wasn't designed to carry the bulk of the weight. That's why it's easier to carry a bag in your arms or on your shoulders than in your hands by a strap. If you use a strap with your weed whacker then adjust it so it's at just the right level & your wrist only has to direct the movement.

Since you're using something with the potential for danger for both you and/or others if not handled properly you really should see a dr. before you have an accident. Until then you should keep the arm elevated as much as possible, take ibuprofen for the pain & inflammation & use an ice pack.
