Bronquitis is a complication of a URI, but not a disease perse. Bronquitis is the inflamation and irritation of the lungs when yoru body is trying to clear up an infection.
They will prescribe antibiotics fo rthe infection and steroids to stop the compulsive coughing. Lots of fluids and rest help too.
So, to answer yoru question, the infection is contagious, but bronchitis is not.
