Is this a allergy or infection?!

Question: Is this a allergy or infection!?
My husband has irritation in his armpits!. I noticed there is not any sign of drainage or pus but it has a awful sour smell!. I asked him to stop using deodarant as I thought it was a allergic reaction to his skin!. I advised him to wash underneath his arms with anti-bacterial soap and put anti-fungal/hydrocortisone cream to the area!. I will be calling the doc on Tues to get it checked out!.!.I'm assuming he has a fungus but I'm not sure!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say that your husband has some sort of fungal infection!.

There is another possiblility that he has a boil in his armpit!. Feel for any little lumps (remember, there is a possiblilty of infection or a fungal infection, so wear gloves, or put a freezer bag over your hand to block any germs spreading to your hands)!. Is there any pain when pressure is applied to the area!?

A boil is an infection to a sweat gland, and can be prevented by holding a hot wet flannel in the underarm (as hot as he can handle) for about 5 - 10 minutes!. When it cools down a bit (after like, 1 minute) soak it in hot water again and repeat!. make sure that when you're done, you soak the flannel in disinfectant for an hour, beofre putting through with the usual wash via the machine!.

Good luck!

,for years ,docs and folks in alternative med practices have been hollering out to mainstreamer docs about food ,cosmetic dyes having deleterious effects on human biology, sometime foods are the culprit,or food additives which may impare minutely the immune cells of skin!.allowing fungal cooties to burrow in,like the digging mutts on the lamisil commercial,,,dyes in after shave lotion, deoderant,or kellogs pop tarts could also be the problem!.!.!.!.!.an antiseptic foam with antifungal properties(trychophyton mentagropgytes or t-rubrum) can help,,,you dilute it like 5 to 1 in warm water may help!.if the ama ever decides to change the billing codes which they assign to approved techniqes in treating illnesses, this step might spread out the available healthcare dollars to alternative docs, dentists,to the benefit of people like your hubby,,i get this problem from blue dye in aqua velva, tho i still wear cuz i like the stinky stuff,,,,i also react to tartazine(yellow) dye in a lot of goya food products, which i utterly avoid!.otc remedies produce billions of bucks in revs and profits for the makers of crap that doesn't work !.most people are unaffected by these items,i am,so i 'edit my preferences" accordingly!.
