Cold Sore or Pimple?!

Question:

Cold Sore or Pimple?

I have this really red bump right under my bottom lip and now I have a smaller one right above my upper lip. I have had it for 4 days and I thought it was a pimple so I tried to use my proactiv stuff on it, but it has not gone down in size. I just started putting Abreva on it. But i really would like to know weather it is a pimple or a cold sore! No smart remarks please.

Answers:

It is quite possible that it is a blister from sunburn. Our lips are more sensitive than the rest of our skin... and you can use DCT (small peach container sold at the lip balm counter) as a sunscreen to avoid future breakouts. It sounds like a cold sore/sun blister more than a pimple... a pimple would eventually come to a white head... the DCT will help as much as the Abreva.. and is waaaay less expensive!!!
