i have a hair follicle infection and it created a large whep on the inside of my thigh and it causes irritation when i walk and sleep

First, make sure it is really infected and not just inflamed. If it is red, hot, oozing, GO TO THE DOCTOR. It is very infected and needs not just a cream. You will need to take antibiotics. They may also open it up to let all the gunk out. If it is red and puffy, but closed (not scratched or pulled open, etc) you can try this:
Wash and dry the area with soap and water. apply a hydrocortisone cream from the drugstore to it, and leave it open to air. do this twice a day. You can try to see the hair, and tweeze it out with clean tweezers, but dont go digging around too much. If it doesnt work see your doctor.
