Arm clot - anybody ever have one? anxiety very high tonight!?!

Question: Arm clot - anybody ever have one!? anxiety very high tonight!!?
I have a clot in left arm!. Diagnosed last week after having IV in arm from surgery on August 20th!. Was seen in ER last Sunday, said it was superficial phlebitis, but the vascular surgeon I went to see said looks more like deep vein!. Started 4 adult aspirins a day but tonight I bled from vagina!.!.!.!.as the whole reason for surgery was a D&E and I had not bled since surgery but looks like the aspirin made the blood thin!.
Okay so I talked to the Vascular dr!. tonight and he said to now lower the dose from 4 aspirin a day to just two a day!.
I can't sleep!. I lay here almost petrified!.
How do you all keep going on without anxiety making your stone cold and fearful!?!

I need help!. I have two kids and have never gone through anything like this!. I really am afraid!. I never expected an IV to give me a clot!.

Can anybody help me and tell me how you get through the day and night!?

Thanks and God Bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A DVT is very serious!. Trust me, I almost lost my left leg b/c I had three of them in three different veins!.

RELAX!. If they suspected a DVT, you would currently be in the hospital getting heparin/lovenox injections and starting coumadin therapy!. They wouldn't tell you take aspirins, or shouldn't because you would need a little stronger blood thinner!.

If a DVT is suspected, you need an ultrasound on your arm to confirm whether or not it is!.

I was terrified too, and honestly, I am on panic disorder medicine because I never coped with my DVT and blood clotting disorders in a healthy way!.

Relax and make sure there wasn't a miscommunication!. Maybe it's just edema of a deep vein, which would be swelling that could be caused by anything!.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying it's not a clot or can't be, but if it is, you need to seek advice from a new medical professional!.

Take care & best wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Amy, phlebitis is inflammation of the vein!. It is a common complication to IVs!. Not sure why they started you on aspirin!.

A clot would be called a DVT, deep vein thrombosis!. From your information, I think there is a miscommunication with your doctors!.

A DVT would require either surgical intervention or a regimen of anticoagulants like, levonox or Heparin!.

Pls relax until you see your doctor and clarify what is going on!.

God Bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
