What are short and long term effects of dip?
I want my boyfriend to stop, tell me all the gross and nasty stuff that will happen!!! I already know mouth cancer, tooth loss, and gum disease. Are there any other?
Answers:
Some dip contains fiberglass that cuts the lips and gums so the nicotine can enter the bloodstream more quickly. This causes scarring of the gums, lips, and general interior of the mouth. Even if the dip he uses doesn't have fiberglass in it, it can still cause(aside from what you mentioned) oral discoloration, throat cancer, cancer and possible removal of the tongue, and even stomach cancer(because no matter how careful he is to spit, he still swallows some).
