I got genital herpes 5 months ago!.!. i started having sex recently with a guy who also has it!.!. this is the second time we have done it!. my question is!.!. am i going to have a outbreak every time we have sex!? We just had sex last night n i could feel the outbreak coming last night n i can see it today!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The virus is more active the first year you have it!.
Unfortunately, friction can be a trigger for some people!. Certainly, in the first few months I found that sex was a trigger!.
However, that is no longer a problem - I could just feel the virus getting less active the longer I had it and it is less willing to pop up at every opportunity!. I don't know about you, but during the first months I had a lot of prodrome - symptoms the virus was active like the tingling or nerve soreness/sore skin in between outbreaks!. I don't get that anymore!.
It does get better the longer you have it!. In the meantime, maybe go gently and use lube to ensure you don't get sore!.!.!. I did have the same problem with my boyfriend but it passed with time!. Consider taking valtrex when you feel an outbreak starting - if I take it quick enough it makes it go away again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no way of knowing when both of you will have outbreaks!. If I were you, I would look into taking the Valtrex medication!.!.!.you and your partner!. That cuts down on breakouts!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
