Answers:
The Peak Flow meter is very over-rated!.
Most people know how they are doing without having to measure their Expiratory Peak Flow (EPF)!.
Your treatment should be based on the frequency, severity and duration of your asthma symptoms, not on EPF readings!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is controversial!. Peak flow meters can help your doctor guage the effectiveness of your medicine regimen!. Sure your symptoms are helpful too but if you actually plot out on graph paper you can actually see if you are well controlled!.Poorly controlled Asthmatics typically have lots of variability in peak flows!. I use peak flows to establish a baseline value and then for comparison after I modify medication dosages etc!. Plus there are some asthmatics who are poor at perceiving the early symptoms of asthma, although the usefulness of peak flow as an early warning of oncoming asthma attack is questionable!.
