Another herpes question?

so my bf had a pimple in his pubic hair about an inch or two above his penis. it was a little large and very red but still looked like a pimple. he said he's had pimples like that in the past and has always tested negative for any stds. however he was potentially exposed to herpes about 6 months ago and we're both worried about this. he's getting tested to make sure but i was wondering if this sounds at all like herpes or any other std? he said it didn't hurt or burn at all but that it itched a little bit for a while. that was the only pimple thing we could see.

yeah, it could be that..but it could also be herpes as well. Like others have said, it's good he's going to get checked out. However, he must make sure he specifically ask's for a type 1 and type 2 herpes blood test. Or, if he has the "pimple" at the time the dr. can do a swap and get some better results. In my case, I was having outbreaks that I though was razor burn cause I shave down there. But, after a while I was getting scared and saw a photo online that looked way to familiar. So, I decided to go when I had a lesion that was scabbing up. they swabed it, and that is what it was.
I hope that it is just a pimple. If not, get educated and make an informed decision on if you two still want to be together. Plenty of people are with a partner with herpes and never contract it from them.
