Question: Cinnamon helping the body produce more insulin!.!.!?
my dad has diabetes!. he read an article that said research has been done to prove that taking in cinnamon may help the body produce more insulin!. he has looked around to see if they make pills that contain cinnamon (like how they make pills with garlic) but was unable to find any!. perhaps it is a new development!. so he has been putting cinnamon in his coffee and on his toast, but he does not know how much he needs to consume for this to take effect!. does anyone have any insight on this!? how much does he need!? or is this even true!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Look in the vitamin and food supplement section of your supermarket!. A number of companies make them!.

BTW, I tried this stuff, it may help your dad but it did nothing for me!. Personally I think it is a myth but as I said, it is available and there are directions on the package!. The one I was buying called for two tablets three times a day!. Oh yeah, my doctor was skeptical about the studies when I discussed my failure with him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He can try a company called Puritans Pride!. They sell the cinnamon capsules!. It doesn't produce more insulin what it does is it helps your body control the sugar!. Always talk to your doctor before you try something especially when you have diabetes!. Also I have found that cinnamon alone does not help on its own he needs other things with that to control his sugar!. The recommended dosage is on the bottle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it makes any more insulin, just helps to manage what you do make more effectively!. This approach should only be used in conjunction with guidance from his doctor!. Here's a link to a company and product that he's talking about:
