How to get a prescription to Adderall?!

Question:

How to get a prescription to Adderall?

I have trouble with motivation and getting things done sometimes, as well as paying attention. I tried some of my friends Adderall and it worked wonders. The problem so i hear with this is that it is highly addictive and if you go into your doctor asking for a certain pill they will be weary in giving to you. So my question is how can i get a serious prescription without coming off that I would abuse it?

Answers:

Just because the prescription drug Adderall helps you in a way that you feel is positive, you are the last person to be the judge of whether you have ADHD or ADD. The only person qualified to prescribe it would be a psychiatrist, however we all know that sometimes a well-meaning physician can be goaded into prescribing this Schedule 2 drug that consists of biphetamine and amphetamine. If you could see into the future and predict that you will not become addicted to it--great. Do yourself a favor and quit playing with fire. This drug may help you and it may turn out to be your worst nightmare. Take it from one who did the same thing you have. I took some from one of my ADHD friends and liked it. It helped me focus, and I felt motivated. Pretty soon I felt like I could not function without it. This is not a physically addictive drug, but a potent psychologically dependent substance. Fast forward 17 years and I was a very high functioning addict with 2 college degrees. Three different stints in rehab and I finally have a grip. I am 54 years old now and your question sends chills down my spine.
Think hard before you try to manipulate a doctor into prescribing this drug so you can "get things done because you have trouble getting motivated." We all feel like this at times. It is normal. What is not normal is taking a drug to give you motivation. What that drug can do is change the chemistry in your brain before you even have a clue. It might also be eye opening to find out if you have any relatives that have obsessive/compulsive disorder or suffer from alcholism. Medical research indicates that heredity has a role in these types of conditions. Your are literally gambling with your life when you choose to take meds that are not specificallyprescribed for you. Oh, and by the way, Doctors can make mistakes, they sometimes exhibit poor judgement or can be fooled into prescribing your drug of choice.
