Pain in my armpit?!

Pain in my armpit?
I went for a run this morning, i have just started out (dont know of this is relevant but want to be thorough) and had a shower after. As I was washing under my arms I had a sharp pain in my left armpit when i touched it and it aches. There seems to be a bit of a lump but the other side has this too. I've never felt this area before so don't know if its normal for me or not.
What could be the problem??
