My blood sugar is 116 is that good or bad?!

Question: My blood sugar is 116 is that good or bad!?
Answers:
The level itself is normal!. What you don't say is 'when' you did the test!. If it was 2 hours after eating a big meal, it would be lower than normal, indicating a possible problem!. If it was after fasting for 12 hours, heavy exercise, or something of that nature, it could high, also indicating a possible problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is not bad, and if that is your avergae number, your A1c's will be good!. Your doctor will usually tell you what number range you should be in according to your own situation and past numbers!. The rule of thumb is to never be past 150, on a normal reading!. If you are concerned, you can adjust your insulin or pills, to lower your readings overall!. Also daily excercise, overtime will naturally bring down your numbers!. There are many different factors, studies even say having a healthy and clean mouth (brushing and flossing) will help bring numbers down in diabetics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Really without knowing when after or before eating when you took this reading I would be misleading to coldly say it was good!. It is a good reading depending on details not provided!.

Visit my blog site and print off the Blood Glucose Level Chart!. The chart relates the HbA1C and daily finger prick test results!. The chart covers the whole range of readings!.

Study the chart and you will find that good range is 80 to 120!. So you are close to 120, but if this was say 2 to 3 hours after eating a high carb meal 116 would be great even if close to 120!.

Depends!. Is this 3 hours after a meal, from fasting, after excersing!? Overall 116 is good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Normal glucose levels range between 80 and 120 so I would say you are on the high side of normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on when you tested, but it is in normal range!. Never above 180 after eating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Looks ok!. They say between 70-110, but a little over might be because of what you ate, and how long ago!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
