Okay, pot impairs your dicsion making. It is also highly addictive and can lead to risky disisions that can end your life. However, pot never killed anyone in itself. It doesn't cause cancer.
Cigarettes, however, endanger your health and that of others around you. They have been known to cause cancer and emphasema among many other diseases. They too, are also very addictive.
Why are they not iilegal? Because outlawing cigarettes would kill our economy.
I'd go with the pot.
