Question:

Why is that when I get run-down from a lack of sleep and stress that my allergies are worse? I sneeze A LOT.?

And have generally more pronounced nasal allergy symptons, including the sore throat from all the volatile sneezing. I could very well be on the cusp of a terrible cold that is going around the class (I am a teacher), but would wager a sound bet that after a night of sleep, this will have passed. Is this a coincedence, or can a lack of sleep for a few days truly cause such symptons--including stomach distress?

Answers:

Allergies are really draining on your immune system. My lymph nodes on my neck get swollen and sometimes I even get a fever when my allergies are really bad. So if your immune system is already taxed from lack of sleep the symptoms of the allergies will be particularly hard on your body. Nazonex is a really good nasal spray that your doctor can prescribe. I started taking it last year and have never found anything like it in nearly 20 years of allergies.
