Cats arent that bad if youre asthmatic. Although, their fur shedding can get you weezy. I think there are medications like allergy pills you can take if you are willing.
Try going to a shelter and hang around the cats and see how you feel (take your pump/medicine just in case) ask the people there if its okay having a cat if youre asthmatic and what kind of cat would be good. I hope theyre helpful some people suck at their job.
