Im only 12 ! i havent done anything wrong .... ive heard that shareing a glass of water can spread it Ect . they are just like LITTLE bumps not many can tis be ingrown hair ?

Actually there are a total of 8 different kinds of the herpes simplex viruses, herpes simplex virus 1, 2, and 3 are the most common. And, the person above has them a little mixed up.
Herpes simplex virus 1 usually causes cold sores, but it can also cause genital herpes.
Herpes simplex virus 2 usually causes genital herpes, but it can also cause cold sores.
Herpes simplex virus 3 is responsible for shingles and the chicken pox.
The ONLY kind of herpes that is considered a STD is genital herpes because it is almost always spread by sex or some sort of sexual contact. Cold sores are NOT considered a STD since they are usually spread by kissing someone who has them, or drinking after someone who has them.
MILLIONS of people have cold sores. It's estimated as much as 75 - 80% of the WORLD has them. Children usually get them when they are young by being kissed by a relative who has cold sores, like their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.
Cold sores are usually large, painful blisters, not "little bumps". You might just have a pimple or something. You can always have a parent or another adult look at it and even make you an appointment to see a doctor if you are really concerned. Good luck!
