How long can someone live with AIDS?
my bff just found out that her dad has AIDS..its affecting her so much, cuz she thinks he going to die very soon..but I keep telling her, he's not going to. some people have AIDS for years before they die..but I tell her this to make her feel better. I'm not 100% sure about that..so if anyone knows..it would really help..Thank you in advance..

I'm not sure of the longest on record, but I do know several people with Hiv. Two of those people have known they are hiv positive for almost 20 years and one for about 12 years. All of them are still healthy. It is important for people with hiv to keep themselves as healthy as possible. The three people I mention above all take meds, lots of vitamins and keep up with working out to help keep thier bodies strong. I hope that this helps, best of luck to your friends Dad.
