I have 2 sore swollen nodules on my left neck near the jawline!. They aren't on the thyroid!. Can it be cancer!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should check with your doctor but normally cancer in that area the nodes would not be tender and they would move a little when you palpate them!. However you still need to go to thew doctor because there are other reasons that require treatment that could cause this symptom!.

Lymph nodes can be swollen and tender for a variety of non-cancer reasons!. Have you recently had an upper respiratory infection or are you coming down with something now!? If you have had a really bad infection your lymph nodes can actually scar and become hard and tender to palpation!. How long have they been swollen!? Do you have any other symptoms!?
If they have only been swollen for a few days give them some time- just keep an eye on them!. If they have been swollen for more than 4 weeks or if you have any other symptoms- loss of appetitie, radiating pain, pain when chewing food or swallowing- I'd check in with the doc just to be on the safe side!. Chances are it's not cancer but the only way to know for certain is to see your MD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to get it checked by a doctor because i had the same problem and was then diagnosed with base tongue cancer,my sister too had the same but it was just an infection,i really hope that's all yours is too!.good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
