Tonsilitis??????!

Tonsilitis??????

I have had tonsil infection on and off for months! They have given me antibiotics, penicilin shot, and It helps but it doesn't go away completely. My tonsils are red and somewhat swollen, but I don't have pain. It is more like an annoying feeling, a lil burning and a feeling like I have something stuck there....Can this still be tonsilitis even though I don't experience any pain???

You could still be experiencing tonsillitis if the last batch of medications have not had enough time to take effect. You need to talk with your doctor to help you make the decision on what is the right course for you to do. Your tonsils serve a purpose by helping to fight off infections. Once gone your body will have to adjust to being without them. Which means that if you caught a cold; it could lead to bronchitis. And before you have the surgery make sure that the surgeon is a reliable physician.
