Can you get gastric bypass if your only 50 pounds over weight?
yes or no?? can you... will a doctor let you??? anyone have it done and was less than 100 overweight? how many pounds over weight were you??? any replies greatly appreciated..

There is no way that a doctor will perform gastric bypass on someone who is 50 pounds overweight.
Keep in mind that these surgeries are generally for people who are "morbidly" obese.
A person is not considered obese until they are at least 30 pounds overweight. A person who is 50 pounds overweight is probably considered to be "slightly" or "moderately" obese... but nowhere near "morbidly" obese.
