if so, have you taken the time to talk to them about what social issues they have regarding this illness?

I myself have psoriasis. But I am lucky in the sense that it is on the bottoms of my feet, therefore it is not noticeable. I have known others who have psoriasis in more prominent places on their bodies. I do know that most of these folks are very self conscious about it, and this condition has had a great influence over their social life, or lack of. I have a friend who is a professional person with psoriasis over much of his body . He has never married and I wonder if this hasn't been the reason. At least in part. I don't consider it to be gross & disgusting but maybe that is because I myself am a sufferer, and I do understand the heartbreak of psoriasis.
