Potential blood clot in leg.. someone please help?!

Question: Potential blood clot in leg!.!. someone please help!?
so for the past few days now ive had weird leg things going on!.!. i only notice them really when im resting or trying to sleep so its not debilitating leg pain that is interfering with my daily routine!.

no redness or sign of a DVT, but its like a pins and needles sensation and the occasional sharp pinching, more in my right leg than left!. its been in my calf and to the left of my kneecap!.!.

i was in the ER this AM for chest pain and mentioned this but my legs were not looked at!. i am assuming blood work and what not ruled a DVT out!? or maybe the Dr!. forgot-

so, am i being a hypocondriac!?!? like, how will i know the difference from a DVT versus just crampy legs!?! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A blood clot would usually present with one leg being red, hot swollen and usually there is a red streak going upward!. If you have someone lift the leg while holding the heel in the air bend your knee and press your toes upward and have a painful sensation it is called a positive homans sign and can indicate a blood clot!. You are correct a blood clot cannot be ruled out using blood work you would have needed an ultrasound!. However, the above symptoms do not go along with what you are describing!. There is a condition called intermittent claudication which seems to fit your description better!. The following is a link to a wikipedia article that explains the condition!. My concern is that you are describing symptoms which often are found in cases of hardening arteries!. My advice would be to make an appt with a cardiologist in order to have a full cardiac workup including a stress test!.

The symptoms of a DVT !.!.!.pain and tenderness in the leg, pain on extending the foot, swelling of the lower leg, ankle and foot!.!.!.!.!.and the skin is warm to touch and red!? I wonder if you may have Parathesia!? which is abnormal nerve sensations such as pins-and-needles, tingling, burning, prickling or similar feelings are all known as "paresthesias"!. They usually result from nerve damage due to pressure, entrapment, or nerve diseases!.
Perhaps you can mention this to your Dr next time!
