Can anyone give me some info and advice? Teenage diabetic?!

Question: Can anyone give me some info and advice!? Teenage diabetic!?
I have a few questions, please answer as many as possible! Thanks!

The first is, what drugs should I be wary of as a diabetic!? I know Nyquil isn't good, but what are some other meds should I be wary of!?

The second is, I'm in college and exposed to alot of alcohol!. I have been told vodka and wine can lower and raise sugars respectively!. Is this true!? What other things should I watch for in alcohol!. I don't drink as of yet,but I would like to be safe about it should i decide to drink!.

My third and final question is this: I know you're supposed to eat regularly to help keep your sugar levels under control, but as a college student, thisis nearly impossible for me!. I don't have much time to exercise, I'm not on insurance, and I'm don't take insulin!. My diabetes is purely controlled by diet and exercise, but sometimes I experience lows (60s and below) first thingin the morning, or highs above 140!. Keeping in mind that it's nearly impossible to exercise (although i do take the stairs instead of the elevator, and i walk to class) and to eat regularly, how can i keep my sugars in check!? Thanks!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I see that is says that you're not on insulin, which means you're probably a type 2 diabetic!. If you're a type 1 you NEED to be on insulin, so if you don't have insurance, I would recommend going to your student health services department on campus and asking for advice!. I'm in college and have had diabetes for 15 years!. Alcohol can be a problem for most diabetics!. Usually, if I drink a beer, it will raise my blood sugar a little, but I compensate with insulin!. Drinking too much is very dangerous because you may not be able to feel it if your blood sugar is high or low, and you could possibly slip into a comma (and if your friends don't know you're diabetic, they might just assume that you fell asleep or passed out drunk) so be VERY careful when you drink!. If there's any way that you can get on insurance, like through your school or independently, you should do so!. Good luck! I hope this helped a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I found those answers using red korean ginseng extract and even roots!.either one or the other must be of high quality!.Ginseng doesn't only help control sugar level in the blood but also regenerates the whole body by replacing old cells by new ones which the body sometimes fail to perform because of different factors like, metabolic disorders as such as diabetes!.If you're not on insulin and have no time to exercise i would advice you to watch what you eat and take the miracle herb ginseng 3 times a day with your meals!.Eating high dietary fiber content foods help to keep sugar levels stable!.I chose to eat not only vegatables but whole grain cereals and beans!.Healthy food from all kinds of beans to wild rice and whole grain pasta!.Cinammon as well as fenugreek proved to be effective as well as fresh garlic!.Fresh garlic can be taken with meals chopped in small pieces at least twice a day!.The dosage varies; but from 2-3 cloves a day should be enough!.If i were you i'd research the benefits of this on line before you start,so you are convinced!.The psycollogical factor plays an importantt role when healing one's body !.Sorry about my spelling!.English is my second language!.Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm type II diabetic and got off my medication several years ago by more diet than excercise!. I drank this herbal tea instead of water for a month and it worked for me!. This plant grows in the tropical areas very well!. It's called Jamacian Vervain or Purple Sage!.

I now use "bitter melon tea" when my sugar levels are too high (120 plus)!. Sometimes I can sense my sugar levels are too high!. Then I test two hours after a meal to confirm that I am not eating right!.

I get headaches if my sugar levels get too low!.(70's) I snack on mix fruit and nuts mix when I can't eat regularly!.

I use "Splenda" instead of sugar in my cereals and drinks!.

I don't drink alcohol or smoke and you shouldn't either!.

I limit my starch intake because all starches will turn to sugar!. Snacking on mix nuts, a carrot stick or a fruit between meals is better than a soda or can juice!. Squeeze a small slice of lemon in a bottle of water to clean your breath!.

I would suggest you wear a small tag to indicate you are diebetic in case you pass out!. Paramedics and emergency personnel look for these things and it may save your life some day!.
