Hand feeling numb for a while?!

Question: Hand feeling numb for a while!?
I was sleeping and all of a sudden I woke up in the middle of the night and my right hand was completely numb and i couldn't feel it at all!. I started shaking it to get the blood flowing but it didn't help much!. I smacked my hand really hard a few times, then went into the bathroom to run hot water of my hand!. This helped a little!. After that I just kept smacking my hand to try to fix it!. Then finally it went away!. This lasted for about 10-15 minutes!. It was the strangest thing and it felt like your hand/feet was "falling asleep" but stronger and longer than usual!. Any help with this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This is likely to be a problem with your position during sleep!. If it was truly the "whole hand" then it is not likely to be carpal tunnel or other individual nerve!. More likely its from the position of your shoulder and you affected your brachial plexus!.

Yours was just a more severe case of the usual "arm falling asleep" phenomenon!. The longer its in that position the longer it takes to recover and you probably were sleeping more deeply than usual when it happened!.

Don't smack your hand or run hot water on it when its numb!. It does NOTHING to help and since your usual protective pain feedback is lost, you could really hurt/scald yourself!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

you slept funny!.
i've had my hand stay asleep for that long before!.
you pinched your nerves and it fell asleep!. not a big deal!.
and don't smack it hard or but it under hot water you could give your self a bad bruise or burn it accidentally!.
next time just shake it, rub it, and let it fix its self!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

maYBE YOU DID SLEEP ON IT TOO LONG, but are you using alot of repetittive motion on it!? it can be carpal tunnel, this is the first sign of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Can be a sign of Carpal tunnel syndrome!.
If your little finger is asleep, it would not be carpal tunnel syndromeWww@Answer-Health@Com

You probably slept on it for a long time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
