Hi, most gastroenterologists will want you to have had exposure to a fairly significant amount of gluten for at least 3 months before getting tested!. Since you have been gf for 2 weeks, it is really possible that you will still test positive in spite of going gf!. I hate to suggest this, but go ahead and start eating at least one slice of bread (or the equivalent) for the next 2 weeks!. Hopefully, the person you are seeing is a real MD or DO (some naturopaths are also MD's or DO's , and those I reccomend HIGHLY by the way) and will be able to order the following screening bloodwork for celiac:
" Immunoglobulin A (IgA)
anti-tissue transglutaminase (tTGA)
IgA anti-endomysium antibodies (AEA)
Before being tested, one should continue to eat a regular diet that includes foods with gluten, such as breads and pastas!. If a person stops eating foods with gluten before being tested, the results may be negative for celiac disease even if celiac disease is actually present"

Once the bloodwork comes back positive, your Dr!. should refer you to a gastroenterologist who may or may not want to do an endoscopy to verify the bloodwork results!.
Since celiac symptoms can mimmic many other diseases, you may also be screened or tested for other digestive issues such as other intolerances (e!.g!. lactose, soy) allergies, IBS,Chron's, food allergies (skin test or elimination diet to pinpoint), etc!.
In otherwords, this can be a time consuming ordeal, lol! There is also idopathic gluten sensitivity where you can be a non- celiac, non- allergic gluten sensitive (My bro is one, I am a celiac)!.
With your sis having celiac, there is certainly a very good chance that you have celiac, My brother has the genes, the autoimmune reaction just hasn't been triggered yet, but he has to eat gf as well!.
Hope this helps, I really can not stress the importance of getting some "real" blood work and medical testing in order to figure out what is really going on!. I hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like maybe stress and hypochondria but you should still get it checkedWww@Answer-Health@Com

coeliac disease is autoimmune disease in which antibodies are produced by the body like alpha gladian or transglutaminase against a protein in some diet called prolamin this only happens in some individuals the wheat , oat has prolamin in them !.so detecting those antibodies by coeliac serology will confirm the diagnosis in 95% cases another criteria for diagnosing it is gluten free diet which improves the symptoms which includes the abdominal pain stress , nausea and weight loss
those antibodies act against VILLI a finger like projection inside the small intestine which has artery vein and arteries and some lymphatics in it and the villi absorbs the food going down towards from upper gut
remember thse symptoms are not specific to only coeliac disease IBS is one condition which u can suspect but are distingushed by tests ,
treating coeliac is simple FREE gluten diet whole life
IBs is diagnosed when you have these symptoms with out any organic causes
hope this info helped you in some way
note !. to test for coeliac you dont have to be on gluten free diet !!i just saw that last sentence nowWww@Answer-Health@Com
