Her excess weight could be a reason that her heart is enlarged (cardiac hypertrophy)!. Unless she is an athlete, an enlarged heart is not a good thing!. Her heart is working extra hard due to having to move around the excess weight!. Hypertension also can lead to an enlarged heart!. Hopefully, the tests will be able to tell you more about her heart condition!.

First of all, I really question what the reason is for her having to take steroids!. That will only make an enlarged heart worse over time (unless what she is really suffering from is pericarditis or has fluid in her lungs)!. The most probable reason for an enlarged heart is some type of pumping deficiency, either from a weakened heart muscle or from a leaky heart valve!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
can be influenced by leaky valves and occluded blood vessels or even heart defects where the heart has to work harder to push blood around the body so therefore the myocardium (main contracting heart cell in the walls) has to grow bigger for a more forceful contraction - it is also possible to get a larger heart through large amounts of cardiovascular training!. I had an enlarged heart a few years ago, the doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked why!
