Home removal of skin tag?!

Question: Home removal of skin tag!?
I have a little skin tag under my boob and one on my inner thigh which really annoy me but aren't painful so I don't really want to waste my GP's time!. I had heard you can tie string around the base to remove them, which I found too fiddly and couldn't do!. I also read on netdoctor!.com that you can cut them off at home with scissors! This sounds like it could be dodgy, does anyone have advice over this or do I just go to the docs!? thanks Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing to use is fishing wire as it is tough and doesnt sag!. It is easy, all you do is form a cirle with the fish wire put it on top of the tag and then pull the circle inwards until it is tight around the skin tag!. I cant remember how long you leave it there thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

You can use thread by tying it around the base of the tag and it will fall off in time!. If you find that you can not do this, then go see your doctor, I have just had some removed by laser treatment, quite painless, whatever you do, DON'T cut them off as that can lead to infection, and you will have a hell of a job to stop the bleeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a problem with both these managements!. Sin tags are due to viral infections in the skin which cause the growth of small polyps!. The skin around the tag is also infected with the virus!. This means that if you just lop them off they are very likely to recur on the same site!. Better to either have them excised, together with a small ellipse of skin, or frozen off, both of which removes or kills the virus in the surrounding skin margin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I heard that you can tie dental floss round it!. This slowly kills it by not letting any blood get to it!.

I wouldn't cut it off!.

Go to the doctors if you can't do the dental floss thing and she/he can advise you on what to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have used thread and tied it to the base of the tag!. It blocks the blood flowing to it and the tag falls off!. Basically if you are not in a hurry then just go to your GP and get it off there!. DO NOT CUT THEM OFF WITH SCISSORS!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the doctor!. They can remove them without much pain or bleeding!. They WILL bleed if you try to remove them at home!. I had several removed from my neck at the dermatologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're looking for a safe and effective method for removing skin tags, then here is a list of ten methods to choose from:

1- One of the natural ways to remove skin tags is to use tea tree oil!. This natural essential oil removes the skin tags without harming the skin that is surrounding them!. The method for using this remedy is simple: Just soak a Cotton ball in water, put a few drops of pure high quality tea tree oil on it, and then rub it against the skin tag!.

Repeat this procedure two or three times a day for a couple of days until the skin tag falls off!.

2- You can also remove skin tags using natural herbal extracts like Dermisil!. This natural medicine is extracted from three plants that are very well known for their healing power of so many skin diseases and conditions!. These plants are: Melaleuca Alternifolia, Thuja Occidentalis and Ricinus Communis!. Click here to learn more about Dermisil for skin tags!.

3- Castor oil is another essential oil that can be used in the removal of skin tags!. If you want to give it a try, you'll have to mix it with baking soda until it becomes a paste and then you'll have to rub it against each skin tag a couple of times a day until they fall off!.

4- If you want to try removing skin tags yourself, then you can also use duct tape!. You just cut a piece of the tape that is big enough to cover the skin tag you want to remove and then tape it on it!.

Wait for 48 hours and check to see if the skin tag is loosening up and if it is about to fall off!. If you see that is still holding on, then you'll have to replace the piece of duct tape!.

5- Bloodroot paste is another skin tag remedy that you can try at home!. You should however know that, unlike other natural remedies like tea tree oil, bloodroot can harm the healthy skin that is surrounding the skin tag!. That's why it should be used with care!.

If you want to try this remedy, you'll just have to apply some bloodroot paste to the skin tags and cover them with a band aid!.

6- You can also remove a skin tag using vitamin E and a band aid!. Just put some vitamin E on a band aid and apply it to the skin tag!. Then, you'll have to wait until the skin tag falls off!.

7- The other widely used method for removing skin tag is to cut off the blood supply to its tissues by tying a dental floss, a fishing line or a sewing thread around its base for 2 or 3 days!. By doing this you kill the cells of the skin tag causing it to fall off!.

8- The fastest way to remove a skin tag is to cut it off using disinfected nail clippers or scissors!. After you cut off the skin tag, you have to apply some peroxide along with pressure to stop the bleeding!.

9- Another method to remove skin tags is to cover them with fingernail polish 3 times a day for about ten days until they fall off!. This method requires a good deal of patience compared to other methods!.

10- The last tip for removing skin tags is to use compound w freeze!. The method is similar to using duct tape or vitamin E!. Just apply it and wait for the skin tag to fall off!.

My husband has skin tags that seem to pop up all the time - at first he would go to the Dr and have them burned off, frozen off and cut off!. Then we started just cutting them off at home with small scissors!. Be sure they are sterilized (we soaked ours in alcohol first), snip the tag at the very bottom and try not to get any skin with them!. They do sometimes bleed a lot so be prepared! With our youngest son we would put some Vitamin E oil on them then paint them with clear fingernail polish every day for three days and they would fall off by themselves after a week or so since there was no air to them to let them breathe and grow!. I have also heard (but never tried) that you can put small amounts of duct tape over them for a week or so and they will fall off due to the lack of air!. You can do it at home but just know if you do it yourself they could grow back since these methods don't get the root of them!. But, going to the Dr!.'s, they could grow back too so it is really up to you how you want to handle it!. The Vit E and finger nail polish works great and no blood or mess involved!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
