I'm training to be a hairdresser and I absolutely love it! Except for one small matter!.!.!. we get at least five customers come in a day with head lice! Our salon has a system were if someone has lice they can pay an extra

You want to look for eggs!. These can most commenly be found under the ears, and at the back of the head near the neck!. You will know what I mean when you find them!. If they have them!. take them into another room that is empty to save the embarrisment!. Mention quietly that they have head lice and would they like to be treated tob get rid of them!. If so then carry on!. If not then tell them what alternitives there is!. To stop your self getting them firstly try and make sure that you keep your head away from theirs!. Remember these things can jump very far!. Try and make sure it is not noticable though, you don't want to offend the customer!. Maybe keeping your hair in a hair net might help to stop them hanging on to lose hair!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Please definitely make 100% sure that the client DOES have lice before you tell them they do!. I was SO embarrassed years ago by a girl at a salon who told me quite loudly that she could not do my hair because I had lice, but when I got home and had someone check my hair thoroughly I found out that I did not have it!.
I've fought this with my kids over the years and the best places to check are around the ear area harline and at the back of the neck where the hair can be pretty thick!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
