Have you met your donor or know anyone who has?
Has anyone either recieved or donated bone marrow and met their donor or know someone who has? Was it special?
Answers:
You can send correspondence to your donor 1 year from your transplant thru the National Bone Marrow Registry. It is then between the donor and receiptiant as to whether they want to meet in person. I know of a few people who have met their donor and they said that it was a humbling experience.
I already know who my donor is going to be, its my younger brother and he turned out to be a perfect match. I will be having my transplant in the next 4 to 6 weeks
