Question:

Popleteal Baker cyst rupture at age 52 what is the prognosis?

Answers:

The fluid from the cyst will get reabsorbed eventually. The medications you're taking should help but give it some time. Eventually you should be back to normal. There is however a chance that there might be some scar tissue formed in that area or that the cyst will regrow. An increase in pain would indicate that. If the cyst regrows you might want to have it surgically removed. That's one way to make sure that it's completely out. Surgery can be compicated by the cyst being attached to nerves and tendons.
