Question: Would I have to go to a special doctor for acid reflex!?

Acid reflux is commonly treated by GPs!.!.!.overtreated in my opinion!. As a matter of fact you can purchase proton-pump inhibitors without prescription so a visit might not be necessary!. Prilosec is such a drug!.!.!.available in the US without prescription!. Be aware that the vast majority of people with acid reflux can make themselves better by losing weight!. okk!. you dont need to go to a special doctor!. my friend has acid reflex and she just takes a pill every morning!.!.!. she still gets nautious sometimes but she told me it helps a lot!. hope that helpss =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
no you can go to a general doc!. there is a chance you'll be referred to a GI specilist but usually a family or internal medicine doc can handle this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
