Engagement Ring - Causing Skin Issues :( ?!

Question: Engagement Ring - Causing Skin Issues :( !?
I know for a fact that my engagement ring is real gold and the diamond is real, too so no comments on that please!. However, recently (seems to be whenever it is warm) I have had problems with the skin breaking underneath!. It seems really dry but if I put moisturiser on it stings because the skin is splitting!.

Does anyone know why this might be!? I have been wearing it for 2 years now and this has only happened within the last year!. Thing is, it is making it so I cannot wear my ring and it is upsetting my fiance!. Also, my ring finger is now f*cked!! :( I am really worried that I will never be able to wear my ring properly again, or my wedding ring either!.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do!? I have never had problems with gold jewellery in the past and wear a gold ring on my other hand, without problem!. Has anyone had the same/similar issue!?

I think it may be becuase when I get warm, my hands swell and the ring has ridges inside, so my finger swells up into it and then gets stuck whilst still swelling, if you understand me!?

Please help!! It is really upsetting because I cannot wear my ring daily :( :(

Answers:
I'm allergic to any metal that isn't gold or silver so I put clear nail polish on the bottom of my watch to avoid irritation!. You may want to try that or buy jewelry cleaning solution, maybe it's just dirty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well keep moisturizing it!.
It only stings because its working!.
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize
and put Polyspron (from walmart $5) on at night, with a band aid over top!. It will speed up the healing process!.
Clean your ring, my mom has a separate tooth brush that she would use!. She clean her ring with toothpaste!. The brush would get all the nicks and crannies and the toothpaste would make it shine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Perhaps it's not the ring but something under the ring, like a detergent allergy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

This happens to me all the time!. I just take the ring off overnight, use "working hands" lotion (green tube, awesome stuff) and it's usually better in the morning!. If I take my ring off once a week (usually every Saturday night through Monday morning, but only if I'm home all day) then I never have this problem!.

I've also noticed it happens with greater frequency if I wear my ring while washing dishes or scrubbing the tub!. It traps the soap in between my ring and finger and dries out the skin!.

If your fiance gets upset, ask him if he loves your ring or fingers more!. When I started taking my ring off I felt really guilty, but my husband says he'd rather have my fingers in one piece!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
