Answers:
One that was effective for me was Citalopram!. It is a generic of Celexa!.

Also, keep in mind, anti-depressants don't take effect in a couple days!. It usually takes about 5 weeks of continual usage before you start feeling better!. If you haven't tried taking it and first waiting it out for 5 weeks!.!.!.you might be better to stick with what you do have!. Otherwise, try Celexa!.

Most importantly, always consult your doctor about your medications!.!.!.especially if they are affecting you in a way that you are contemplating suicide!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are a lot of different medications out there for your issue, they are generally known as MAO inhibitors!. MAO stands for Monoamine Oxydase!. That is the enzyme that breaks down serotonin!. Serotonin is what makes you generally not depressed!. By inhibiting the enzyme from destroying that neurotransmitter you will start to feel better!.

Whatever medication you decide to go on, be it Prozac or something else, know that they will take on average up to two weeks or longer to work!. Stopping the medication midway will make things worse for you emotionally!. There are no activities you can do that will magically make you feel better, like some of those moronic answers before!.

See a specialist that will evaluate you and know what medication will work best!. Be sure to let them know if you are taking any herbal medication such as Ginco Biloba or things of that nature (St!. John's Wart etc), as that could cause a manic state and would be adverse to your recovery!.

Since you claim to have a lot of substances of this nature, it sometimes takes a combination or just a right one to do the trick over a few week period or longer!. Again I emphasize that you tell the doctor everything you are taking for your best results!.

A new study published in the February 15, 2005 issue of Biological Psychiatry shows that certain foods are better at treating depression than antidepressant drugs!. The study found that omega-3 fatty acids and foods high in a compound called uridine were able to reduce the symptoms of depression as well as or better than three different antidepressant drugs that were tested!. This research was conducted at the McLean Hospital, which is affiliated with Harvard!. It's very exciting to see this kind of study, because it shows yet more scientific evidence for the healing effects of food as well as the relative uselessness of prescription drugs!.

I would recommend going to a specialist and see what they say!. Self medication can lead to issues!. Sometimes (like with my borther) it is a simple vitamin defficiency!. Another reason to not self medicate is that drugs like Effexor, with some people, can cause dellusions when you try to stop taking it!. For my brother, Zinc and B12 were the answer, like night and day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Then maybe you need to go outside and smell the roses!.
Have fun!.
Play laser tag!.
Go see the movie 'Burn After Reading!.'
Do things you wouldn't normally do, so you can take your mind off of what is in there already!.
Just have fun dude!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
