HELP! Could this be leukemia?
I'm almost 17 years old and I'm a bit scared! About a week ago, I noticed on my left foot 2 wierd brown bruises and today another bruise near my knee. I don't remember to knock myself in something to cause them. I have the foot bruises from about a week, and they are not diminishing and if i press them, I don't feel any pain.They look like somebody have painted them there!
By day, I feel sometimes dizzy and then I have sweat waves even if in the room the temperature is acceptable!
I also have on my arms red marks which are very small, like somebody made them with the top of the pencil.
I dont have nose or gums bleeding, I haven't lost weight but I feel that my appetite decreased a little!
I will make my blood test in a couple of weeks but till then, I really need to know if I should worry or I'm just paranoic.
I'm so scared because leukemia is a very common thing and in my country(Romania) is very difficult to treat this disease.
Answers:
Keep a journal of all your symptoms and discuss them with your doctor. I got a bunch of those red spots [and still have them] when I was getting sick.
