Anyone uses dihyrocodone and diazepam or other anxiety meds for fibromyalgia?!

Question:

Anyone uses dihyrocodone and diazepam or other anxiety meds for fibromyalgia?

Answers:

I would recommend that you stop. If you are not already, you will eventually become addicted to those drugs.

My doctor was prescribing codeine and diazepam by the 100s. The dose just kept increasing. I was prescribed the codeine for the pain of the FM but the diazepam was not for anxiety but because it conteracts a weird side effect I get from codeine. You need to find another doctor who will help you develop other coping skills. There are other drugs out there that are less addictive.

You have enough to deal with with the FM. You don't need a drug addiction problem as well. I ended up switching family doctors (because a specialist of mine for something else freaked over the lack of treatment and overprescribing that was occuring).

DO NOT go cold turkey off the meds. You could give yourself seizures.
