Scoliosis query?!
Question:
Scoliosis query?
Recently I had a scoliosis x-ray which concluded I have a short but marked scoliosis centered around T5. What exactly does this mean? I know what scoliosis is, I just need some help understanding the rest.
Answers:
Your back bone isn't one bone, but a series of bones stacked on top of one another (vertebrae). From top to bottom, it consists of 7 cervical bones, 12 thoracic, and 5 lumbar. Each bone is numbered with a letter and number. The fourth cervical bone is C4, the fifth thoracic is T5. The bend is centred around your 5th thoracic vertebra.
