i have a question. i know that you can spread genital herpes through oral sex. lets say if my boyfriend gets regular cold sores.. but once in a blue moon. even if he doesn't have the cold sore present on his lip can he still pass hsv-1 to my vagina?


i dunt have any symptoms.. no burning.. no itching.. no pain no .. i pee normal..no bumps or nothing.. i did have a yeast infection about 2 -3 weeks ago and i got medicine for it.. they prescribed metronidizole and it went away. I also went to the gyno and got checked out . they said everything was normal.. vagina looked normal and discharge was clear. they ran blood tests. but the gyno said i looked fine.. that my vaginal walls were normal.. that usually certain people with no symptoms .. usually have skin reactions on the inside of there vagina or penis .. its just that can't see it. but she said i was fine.. im just paranoid person... just wanna hear a couple opninons... only had 2 partners and always used a condom.

I got genital hsv1 through receiving oral from my boyfriend. I knew he had cold sores, but he didn't have one at the time, nor was he getting one or recovering from one. He is most infectious when he has sores, just before and just after, but there are periods called 'asymptomatic shedding' when the virus is active without showing any symptoms, and I caught it in one of these stages. My symptoms appeared within 4 days and were very recogniseable, I felt very ill, it isn't something I could have missed, so if you don't have any symptoms then you should be ok so far.
