Question: How does my Uncle drink himself sober!?
I have seen him do that 3 times and I don't understand it!. He says he not an alcoholic because he's never drunk!. Yet he drinks an amazing amount!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He may not admit he is an alcoholic but anyone who obsesses in drinking, morning, noon and night, is in denial about the drink, and seems to 'have' to have it in order to function is considered an alcoholic!. Your uncle is a 'functioning alkie"!. These are people who drink and have the capacity not to appear drunk because they can hold so much!. You don't have to be drunk to be an alkie!. I know people who have drunk for 15 -20 years, worked everyday, did not skip, but died from cirrhosisof the liver!. The outside appearance is nothing - the alcohol does play an interesting part on our organs, thus rendering them useless over a period of time!. He needs help if he wants to live!.
