Are there any medicines or injections to prevent cholera, when visiting a 3rd wo!

Question: Are there any medicines or injections to prevent cholera, when visiting a 3rd world country!?
Answers:
I don't think so, the following is from the CDC:

Is a vaccine available to prevent cholera!?

A recently developed oral vaccine for cholera is licensed and available in other countries (Dukoral from SBL Vaccines)!. The vaccine appears to provide somewhat better immunity and have fewer adverse effects than the previously available vaccine!. However, CDC does not recommend cholera vaccines for most travelers, nor is the vaccine available in the United States !. Further information about Dukoral can be obtained from the manufacturers:

your best bet against cholera is to not drink the water!. or boil it first if you have to!. This includes washing fruits, vegetables, etc!.

Also, you should always check the CDC travel page for advise on the vaccines you can get when traveling!. it is specific for each country!. that site is: http://wwwn!.cdc!.gov/travel/Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes i think i had this vaccine a couple of years ago:its not an injection, but you have to drink it!
