Answers:
yes!. as you go thru puberty you will need to increase your doses of insulin!. after puberty things will level out!. it's really important to keep an eye on your blood suagrs in in your teen years, this is the time when a lot of people have the most trouble with keeping things under control!. i know, i went thru that!. just be prepared to constantly be changing your insulin levels, and always make sure you keep up to date with your doctor and call him with any questions at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, your need may increase dramatically!. Make sure you are watching your diet!. Keep the carbs down!. Many type 1's think they can get away with eating what they want and use more insulin!. This is fine, once in awhile!. But it can lead to weight gain and bad control of your diabetes and they end up paying for it later!. Puberty and hormones can cause a need for higher doses of insulin!. You need to talk to your doctor at this time and make sure you are doing things right as far as dosing!. It is not uncommon to have your doctor adjust your dosage and even the insulin itself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes your hormones can give you wild swings in your blood sugar!. Be careful about your adjustments as your sugars will swing the other way just as rapidly!. This is a good time to see your diabetic doctor for advice!. You think you have a handle on your diabetes then you don't!. Your doctor will give you the best advice on handling the swings as your hormones change!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
