One of the most common things with the flu is that it hits you like a truck! you feel fine, maybe a bit tired, then suddenly you feel god awful!. that certainly sounds like you!
If you have a fever, its definitely the flu!. The more symptoms that you get thats outside of your nose/chest (for example fever, muscle aches, joints aching), the more likely it is that its the flu!.
If you feel cold, you might have a fever!
Im a medical student, but that is nowhere near an actual MD haha ;) So if youre worried, go see a doctor!. unfortunately, for both of those cases, antibiotics dont help, and all you can do is sleep!!

When you have the flu, its associated with a fever!. That's how you know it's the flu and not a cold!. It sounds like you have the cold to me, but I don't have M!.D!. behind my name!. If you continue to feel bad, visit your Dr!.
