Small Lump on my occipital bone, frequent headaches, BUT NOTHING SERIOUS?!

Question: Small Lump on my occipital bone, frequent headaches, BUT NOTHING SERIOUS!?
Ok, so on July 28th I had a CT Scan at the hospital because I had been having pretty bad headaches!. The doctor said everything looked normal!. About 1 1/2 to 2 weeks later, I noticed this small HARD lump on my occipital bone that doesn't move, isn't painful to the touch, but sort of sore AROUND the lump!. I went to the doctor and he said it was a sebaceous cyst!. Then about 2 weeks later went back and he said it looked like it had drained itself, and it was smaller!. Ok, so its been about a month now, and the lump is STILL there, and I STILL had frequent headaches! They aren't the WORST headaches of my life, but they are annoying, and lots of times I can't find relief!. Every doctor I've been to said this lump is nothing serious, but I am still worried its a tumor!. Should I get another scan or MRI!? I am only 24, and in fairly good health!. I have high blood pressure and anxiety and panic disorder!. Please help me! What should I do!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Since you have anxiety and panic disorder, you should approach your fears with a grain of salt!. Lots and lots of people have frequent headaches, and it's one of the hardest symptoms to diagnose!. There are hundreds of things that can cause headaches!.

Consider this: I have had headaches all my life, sometimes severe enough to make me cry, but never with migraine symptoms!. I have a hemangioma in my brain, which hemorrhaged and caused me to have a seizure when I was 18!. Now here's the kicker-- my headaches are not even related to the bleeding in my brain! They're caused by a combination of neck tension, mild dehydration, and stress!.

So relax!!! Your headaches probably have nothing to do with the benign lump on your occipital bone!. Although worrying so much about them will make them worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would get the mri just to make sure!. I have been having headaches for a month now and all these stupid docs are like THERE'S NOTHING WRONG and then finally they diagnose me with anxiety and panic disorder because im so worried that these headaches are something
serious!. I wasn't reassured until i got the mri cuz i had had two ct scans before but the mri shows more!. You can also see an opthomologist which will tell you if anything is wrong with ur eyes!. I hope you find out what this is!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
