How do i make him stop smoking?
my dad is 43 and he has smoked since 20. i really want him to stop for his health and mine, (i have asthma and am allergic to smoke) how do i get him to stop
PLEASE DO NOT SAY 1800QUITNOW!,,,,,,I TOLD HIM TO CALL BUT ALL HE DOES IS SAY "I WILL................." AND PUTS IT OFF FOREVER. thanks

You can't "make him quit". He's got to decide to give up the addiction for himself. But, you can be honest with him about your feelings, like that you worry about him getting cancer, that you want him to be around to meet his grandchildren one day, that you feel bad when he chooses a cigarette over your health, or whatever you feel. He needs to know how his choices affect you. Maybe it will help him make the right decision, but even if it doesn't, at least he understands the consequences every time he lights up.
