Early signs of strep throat?!
Question: Early signs of strep throat!?
My 2 year old was just diagnosed with strep throat today!. When we got up this morning I was not feeling well and as the day goes by I feel worse!. It started with a headache and an all over sore/tired feeling!. I thought my throat felt 'funny' this morning but thought nothing more about it until we I took my son in and they said he had strep!. He has been sick for over a week, first he had an ear infection and not this!. I do not have a high fever (just under 100) but I feel really bad!. I have looked at my throat and of course don't see anything odd!.
My question is, tomorrow is Friday and if I go to the doctor will they be able to tell if I have or are developing strep!? I don't want to get sick over the weekend when I can't go to the doctor and end up passing the sickness back and forth!. I do not have anyone here to help, we are military and 9 hours away from family and my husband is away training and won't be back until Sunday!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The doctor will give you a throat culture and with your feeling lousy and the fever, I would say he should have no trouble figuring out if you have it or not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes, the results of the throat culture will come back before you even leave the doctors!. Atleast that has been my experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
