Answers:
Money donated through charities is a tiny drop in the ocean of what is needed to research cancer!. Never worry that it's being wasted!.

There are no guaranteed cures for any cancer, but thanks to money spent so far, quite a few cancers can already be cured: seven out of ten children are cured of cancer; testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery and many cases of thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy!.

Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough, and many lives have been prolonged through improved treatment

The problem with finding 'a cure for cancer' is that cancer is not a single disease, it's an umbrella term for over 200 different diseases!. The difficulty with finding a cure is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them They all respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them, so there isn't a magic bullet that cures all cancers and there never will be!.

There will never be a Eureka! moment when someone discovers a single substance that will reverse all types of cancer!. But there will be continued hard work, and gradual steps will continue - a way to reverse one type of cancer perhaps, ways to slow down others and prolong lives, improved treatments etcWww@Answer-Health@Com

You might want to do a little research into the causes you are donating to!. Cancer is a term to describe almost 300 types of related diseases!. There are been cures and treatments found for several cancers so survival rates are increasing!. I am sure you have heard of the HPV vaccine for girls that prevents the virus infection related to about 20 percent of the cervical cancer as one exampleWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sort of!. We have chemotherapy which works for several, but it's a painful process!. THere are actual cures that can destroy all cancerous cells, but unfortunately they aren't medically viable (yet)Www@Answer-Health@Com

ummm!.yeah!.!.!.!.cancer is too generic a term anyway!.!. most cancers are curable esp if they are treated earlyWww@Answer-Health@Com
