Oh Boy. The first week after I moved to Hawaii I got the burn of my life. The best thing you can do is stand under a cool shower as often and as long as you can and as soon as possible after getting the burn.
Use the most gentle shower spray you've got. If this is not possible or the shower spray is too painful, apply cool water as much as possible. Allow it to air dry.
Creams and jells will only work for a very short time and they actually make the healing process take longer.
Trust me on this......water, water and water.
