Question: Sexually active people!. How many of you have been tested for STD's!?
Please be honest!. Stats show that less than 40% of adults have been tested for HIV the deadliest of STD's - HIV is always tested in a STD check- so I would assume the number is much lower for herpes testing (which 1 in 4 people have yet 80% don't know) and is NOT included in a standard STD check!. This happened to me I got tested after my all my 3 boyfriends and was "clean" and recently 9 months after my last sexual encounter I went with a friend to planned parenthood- (i had gone to my OB/GYN when i tested before)and tested positive for herpes!. I called my OBGYN and learned i had NEVER been tested for herpes, i just assumed i had!. So all of you who think you're "clean" make sure you really are!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I also found out last week that herpes is not a usual STD testing when I got the test done it was positive mind u I have 2 kids so I would think that this would of been one of the test that they give when they are testing a pregnant woman for STD!. But for whatever reason the herpes test is not included!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I get "tested" but doctor's are in such a rush now!. I am also positive for herpes!. I read in a cosmopolitan magazine that sometimes they will judge on doing STD testing just on your appearance, like if you look skanky or not!. Last time i went i wanted to have HIV testing done!.!.!. SHE NEVER EVEN FILLED OUT THE PAPER WORK FOR ME TO HAVE IT DONE! They are slacking so much! Www@Answer-Health@Com

They tested both my husband before we got married- they tested us for HIV everytime we got a new life insurance policy, I get my pap and checkup each year, they checked me when I got pregnant and also we are faithful to one another and have been together for 18 years and married for 15!.
If I was a young sexually adult I think I would require the man to be tested before I had sex with him!. I know that sounds funny, but people lie about who they have slept with in the past and you just never know and they may think they are safe with a condom, but it only takes a pinpoint hole smaller than the eye can detect for std's to get thru!. Teens think just because they wore a condom or on birth control that all they have to worry about is pregnancy and often forget about all the dreaded diseases out there!. Man once you get Herpes it is for life!. There is no cure!. Same with HIV and worse yet AIDS!. All it takes is just one person to ruin it for thousands of people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just got tested on September 4th for the first time and my doctor called me three days ago and said that I had Chlamydia!. I had no signs or symptoms! I've only had sex with one person and I'm still with him!. His ex girlfriend cheated on him after he did an STD test and gave him Chlamydia, which he passed to me a year later!. I was devestated, yet once again thankful that it wasn't anything more serious!. I look at it as a sign saying that we were being too careless!. I'm on treatment now (7 day doxycyline) and in four weeks will test to make sure it's gone!.
My fiancee and I are going to get tested for everything else too at Planned Parenthood!. First we got tested for Chlamydia, Gonnrhea, HIV, and Syphilis!.
